Exactly one year ago today, the first bomb went off in the tragic marathon bombings. I faintly heard the bomb from my house, but I couldn’t understand what it was, but I remember statuses and tweets pouring onto my Facebook and Twitter feeds, and it was then that I knew deep down. I could go on about how much this incident impacted myself, my school, my family, my friends, and my community, but we all persevered and did the hardest thing possible: not let a bomb stop us from doing what we do. I understand that this was infinitely more painful and difficult for the families of the dead and the injured, and although I try my best to help out, nothing can restore normalcy in their lives, as they will be forever impacted. Please take a moment and think of those who were affected, to thank the first responders, and keep the families of the deceased and injured in your thoughts. I love you, Boston. Stay strong.
